Your partner for growth and connection

A partnership beginning in late 2019, we initially focused on brand strategy and redesign of visual assets. From there, our partnership continued to blossom into a collaborative team of creators. This is just a fraction of our Vena partnership — meant to highlight some of the designs I had the opportunity to create.

Vena’s Plan to Grow is a thriving community for growth, connections, learning, and so much more. Throughout our partnership with Vena, we’ve had the joy of fully designing out many parts of the Plan to Grow brand, including these grid-based designs and product illustrations. Vena is powered by Excel and that familiar grid is woven throughout the Vena brand. Plan to Grow connects to its parent brand by reversing the grid visual with filled cells. The resulting look and feel for Plan to Grow is tied closely with Vena visuals while having its own dynamic perspective.

Vena Nation Week

In early 2021, we were approached to redo Vena’s look and feel for their annual conference. The spring virtual conference needed new visuals, an ad/social campaign, and strategic keynote design. This was an incredibly opportunity to keep growing with Vena and help them create an adjacent brand for their annual conference.

In the end, we utilized several Vena colors and introduced a few new treatments to tie it all together. Reinforcing the virtual element, we created illustrations that highlighted familiar Zoom settings and chat windows; playing into virtual connection while balancing a desire to remain realistic and inclusive.

Excel Nerds Unite Campaign

Along with the Vena Nation Week visuals, Vena wanted to create a special campaign and offshoot landing page for the self-proclaimed “Excel Nerds.” These concepts started out with ideation around the recognizable vintage nerd — from thick glasses to Windows 95 browser windows.

This resulted in a very successful campaign that even caught Microsoft’s positive attention. After all, nerds just want to join forces.

It is incredibly rewarding and exciting to maintain collaborative relationships with clients! Throughout 2021, our team was an additional arm of Vena and we were able to join them in solving so many visual quandaries. Having that trust in a client partnership is key to making really intelligent design solutions.
