The core of the Rock Solid visual brand lies in the intricate systems of icons. Recognizable icons transcend language and recall the public areas and systems a person utilizes. These illustrations represent cities and societies — portraying what citizens pass by everyday. Each composition is a created space for every interaction and story.

Varied levels of green highlight connections to leafy parks and street signage. It was imperative that politically aligned colors were largely avoided for a city-based product. Our final result was an imaginative system of icons that could be built up or paired down for a multitude of services.

The logo design was the result of many iterations and client discussions — finally deciding on a combination mark that is rooted in the “Power of One.” A trust icon logo can easily transfer into platform uses; making the brand recognizable across products.

TAKEAWAYS:

Every client project is a back-and-forth collaboration of perspectives and priorities, and no project is quite comparable to the last. While there are many occasions where the feedback is tougher to take, the final design is one that we made together. Some of the best designs are the ones that go out into the world and do their job.
